The paid tiers are priced alike. Suno's page shows annual-billing prices: Pro $8/mo ("saves $24 by billing yearly") and Premier $24/mo ("saves $72"). Udio lists Standard at $10/mo or $8/mo billed annually ($96/yr), and Pro at $30/mo or $24/mo billed annually ($288/yr).

Models and editing tools
Suno gives free users its v6-mini model and paid users v6 and v6-wild. Paid plans add stem separation, uploads of your own audio (up to 30 minutes on Pro and Premier), voice recording and custom models. Premier includes Suno Studio (MIDI, effects, automation), and Studio workflows aren't subject to download limits.
Udio offers its v1, v1.5 and v1.5 Allegro models during its "transition" period, with extend, remix, Styles, voices and (on paid plans) music and lyric editing. Sound quality is a matter of taste. We don't score it, so try both before you subscribe.
Labels and licensing
Udio entered a partnership with Universal Music Group on Oct 29, 2025, then a partnership with Warner Music Group. It says it is building a new platform where participating artists' voices and styles can be used. Udio is running under transition terms of service until then. Suno's terms give Pro and Premier subscribers commercial use only for songs obtained through a permitted download, and free-tier output is for personal, non-commercial use. Which to use for what
- YouTube, TikTok or podcast background music you'll monetise: Suno Pro or Premier. Download the song while subscribed.
- Releasing on Spotify or Apple Music: Suno's help centre says songs made while subscribed to Pro or Premier can be distributed to streaming services.
- Sketching ideas or making music for fun: either works. Udio's free plan has 10 credits a day, and Suno's free plan has 50 credits a day.
- You need the audio file: not Udio, while downloads are disabled.
